What’s left of Nick Lachey? Probably not much, considering what he brought to the table. From a lackluster start as a member of the third most popular late-’90s boy band to a career-making move as the husband of the third most popular late-’90s blond starlet, Lachey stretched his 15 minutes of fame about as far as he could. Or so I thought. When his marriage to Jessica Simpson’s publicist went kaput, so did a great deal of interest in his career. Nevertheless, his album, What’s Left of Me, is doing remarkably well, and now he’s touring the country so you can watch one-fourth of a boy band sing about his divorce. I would cry for you, but I have given up. I would build you a time machine and send you to 1978 to watch Bowie on the Heroes tour, or to 1995 so you could stab yourself in the ear and save Nick the trouble, but I don’t care anymore. Go ahead and listen to your Lacheys, your Simpsons, your Federlines and Spearses. I’m locking myself in my room until Grandaddy gets back together. AEG Live presents the Nick Lachey What’s Left of Me Tour at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nokia Theatre, 1001 Performance Place in Grand Prairie. Tickets are $39.50 to $49.50. Call 972-854-5111.
