Feeling guilty about all of those skipped family dinners in 2012? Still haven’t ordered mom a Christmas present? Ease your conscience and get into the holiday spirit by snagging tickets for the whole fam to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s annual Christmas Celebration. The evening, which features the Dallas Symphony Chorus and Christmas Celebration Children’s Choir, is filled to the brim with Christmas standards played by sweeping strings and sung by darling kids in matching sweatshirts. And, as if that wasn’t enough heartstring-tugging, the concert is inspired by It’s a Wonderful Life. Even Mr. Potter’s dry eyes would weep in the face of Christmas music, a children’s choir, the symphony and your mom. Tickets range from $36 to $137. The Christmas Celebration will be performed at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Tickets and information at dallassymphony.com.
