They say that everything is bigger in Texas, so it’s only appropriate that the Dallas Safari Club 2013 Journeys Convention will bring big-game hunting to downtown for four solid days. For more than 40 years, the club has been connecting experts and vendors in the hunting industry with big-game hunters and wildlife enthusiasts, so they can go shoot some big-ass animals properly. The event includes wildlife exhibits, hunting seminars and live and silent auctions, so if it’s time to get your safari on, get khakied up, put on your pith helmet and head to the DSC Journeys Convention to get locked and loaded Thursday through Sunday at the Dallas Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. Admission is $20 to $50 with additional costs for special events. Call 214-939-2700 or visit biggame.org.
