Sunday Peoples is ultimately a three-part celebration of bike life featuring bike art, repair and races. Are they liars because they call it Sunday Peoples but then invite you to do things on Saturday? Yes, they are. But aside from that teeny bit of mindfuck, free tune-ups while eating free food, sipping free beer and enjoying complimentary glances at locally crafted bike art are pretty freaking spectacular. Even better news, the artists won’t be performing the tune-ups. Transit Bicycle Company will be on hand to spin wheels, ratchet things and maybe even WD40 your squeaky bits. And seriously, potential attendees, don’t be turds and show up with a mangled bike frame and expect miracles. Just be the cool rider that needs a quick tweak. That goes double for you, unicycle riders. Sunday Peoples Bike Repair Day is from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Public Trust, 2919 Commerce St. For more info and to learn about Sunday’s alley cat races, visit trustthepublic.com.
