You bought a house. You survived a variety of slumlords, paid off your credit cards and saved like a mofo. You moved the couch in, set up the TV and spruced up the paint — and then realized that your decorating and remodeling expertise is limited to posters that have hung around since college. There is gardening to do, composting, crown molding and, wait … a new water heater? Christ. You need help. The Great Big Texas Home Show gives you your bearings as you navigate this new and thrilling world of interior design, landscaping and hardware DIY. Over 400 exhibitors will inspire you with new ideas and products, give you basic home-and-garden how-to tips, and entertain your entourage. Check out live culinary demos, activities for kids and celebrity appearances from Design Star All Star winner Leslie Ezell and Million Dollar Listing real estate agent Josh Flagg. All the action takes place on the field of Cowboy Stadium, 925 North Collins St., noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets may be purchased online at greatbigtexashomeshow.com for $12 or $15 at the gate.
