Boston’s Bill Burr is trying to keep the dignity of the working man’s comic alive. His stand-up sets often focus on the tried-and-true “women are like this, and men are like this” bit, but he also has moments of clarity when his material transcends the generic boundaries of a comedy performance and hits a darker nerve. He also plays the recurring character Kuby on Breaking Bad, and has his own Monday Morning Podcast, in which he airs his opinions on everything from sports to the maddening rise of the “alt” comic. On stage at the Majestic Theater (1925 Elm St.), he’ll no doubt touch on all of these topics, and hit some nerves. Show starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, and tickets start at $32.
