John Oliver’s sculptures have been described as “whimsical,” “sophisticated” and “colorful.” They’ve also been called “blobby” and “bubble-gum-like.” You can find out what exactly this means (art that looks like Horatio Sanz with glasses?) at Introductions North, a dynamic collaboration between the Greater Denton Arts Council and the comtemporary art galleries of Dallas. Introductions North runs through July 19 at the GDAC/Center for the Visual Arts, 400 E. Hickory St. in Denton. Gallery hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Call 940-382-2787.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: June 28. Continues through July 19
