Watch out for amateur video crews running around town on Saturday when the sixth annual 24-Hour Video Race unleashes packs of over-caffeinated cinematic auteurs trying to prove their celluloid mettle. Registration’s ended, so if you missed out, stop by the judging screenings and take notes so you can get a jump on next year. The final results from the various teams are sure to be wacky, zany, enlightening, brilliant and occasionally downright awful, but together they should point an entertaining spotlight on Dallas talent in front of and behind the lens. The winners will be screened at the Dallas Video Festival in July. The 24-Hour Dallas Video Race judging screenings take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday through May 24 at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane (214-841-4700). Admission is free. Visit 24hourvideoracedallas.com.

May 22-24, 7 p.m.
