Can’t get it up for the average artist talk? Thursday’s lecture at CentralTrak (800 Exposition Ave.) will forever change that as photographer Denise Prince invites her psychoanalyst, Charles Merward, to fly in from Los Angeles and speak on her behalf. Merward has been Prince’s analyst for several years and the artist believes the relationship has been integral in this work’s evolution. She says he’ll present the series better than she can anyway — she’s an artist, not a lecturer. So, she’ll sit. Silently. In an experimental live couch session while Merward conducts critical commentary. While there, you’ll see the entirety of the new group exhibition The Mortal Coil, which reassigns our prescriptive ideals of beauty in regards to the physical form. Also, there’s a dildo covered with dog hair, called “Wolf Dong.” The session runs from 7 p.m. until Prince’s insurance runs out. It’s free to attend. Visit centraltrak.net
