As the great poet Tom Cochrane once said, life is a highway. And comedy, it is often a circus. You get up on stage, perform your tricks for a crowd and hope no one throws tomatoes or other round, soft objects at you. On Thursday night, the Addison Improv (4980 Beltline Road) is taking that idea to its literal extreme with its new variety show, Comedy Circus. Host Magic Mike is, naturally, a magician. Then you’ve got fire-eater Christopher Lyle, juggler Darren Collins, oddball Dave Jessup, snake charmer Daryl Sprout and comedian Clint “Paco” Werth. Not sure what he is doing, but perhaps Paco is his conjoined twin? Tickets cost $12. Show starts at 8 p.m. Call 972-404-8501 for more info.
