It’s a lazy summer Sunday in Texas and you’ll need to arrive early if you want to catch the first installment of the Fine Arts Chamber Players’ annual Basically Beethoven festival. These concerts — presented every Sunday in July — are free to the public, don’t require a ticket or reservation and seats go fast. Loyal fans know this is a great way to beat the midday heat and enjoy a little classical music without all the fuss (and price) of the symphony or opera. Drinking during the concert is accepted and encouraged, so grab a cold beer and slip into your seat in its new venue: the cool and dark Dallas City Performance Hall. At 2:30 p.m., Nicholas Garza, a talented local young tenor, will warm up your ears with his impressive vocal virtuosity before the rich, colorful harmonies of Dallas’ own Imperial Brass ensemble fill the room at 3.
