Reigning in Hell might sound like a bad-ass way to spend eternity, but while you’re here you can get a preview at Mark-Brian Sonna’s play Lucifer Descending. After God lays a Hail Mary smackdown and kicks the devil out of heaven, Lucifer decides he needs to muff up things for the rest of us down here on earth by creating his fiery lair. Then he takes this dude Seth on a tour to hang with some of the biggest sinners we all know and love. One of several macabre plays Sonna has produced throughout his years as actor, director and playwright in the DFW area, his take on Lucifer should be one worth seeing. Lucifer Descending opens Thursday and runs through November 7 in the Stone Cottage Theatre at the Addison Conference and Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road. Tickets are $18 to $25.
