Dallas Contemporary is turning 35 and to celebrate, they’re hosting Alive for 35, a two-day nonstop event that crams approximately 35 million things into less than 48 hours (1 p.m. Friday to midnight Saturday). Go ahead and block that calendar, girrrl. Then chug a sixer of Red Bull because it’s about to get art-y up in this bitch. Most of the events are free — the lectures, pop-ups, projects, sculpture unveiling at the original location on Swiss, live music, Naked Girls Reading, wrestling performance, yoga, screenings of Animal House and the original Superman (Both debuted in 1978, the year the museum was founded), food, drinks, improv and workshops for kids and adults. But the big bash is gonna cost you big bucks — it’s $135 for members and $150 for non-members and runs from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday at Dallas Contemporary, 161 Glass St. For a complete schedule of events, visit dallascontemporary.org.
