The DMA’s monthly Late Night series is more than just a free date night, it’s a fascinating exploration of local talents — so cheers to the Dallas Museum of Art (1717 N. Harwoood St.) for bolstering the emerging folks doing good work, right now. This month’s edition is all things Edward Hopper, ’cause Hopper Drawing: A Painter’s Process, the first museum show to look at the famous artist’s methods, opens on Sunday. Here’s how to do this Late Night like a boss. Arrive before 7 p.m. and score a happy hour bottle of wine in the Atrium for $14.50. Have a glass, then dump the rest in your plastic purse flask and kill time until 8 p.m. That’s when local actor/artist/cinemadude Frank Mosley presents his latest film installation. He’ll screen Two Story, the second of the Four Seasons Quartet project, an ongoing creation between the Dallas artist and his longtime Seattle-based collaborator Lee E. Luna. Mosley will also wax on Hopper’s work and discuss how the painter’s legacy has influenced his own film projects. It toggles between the Tech Lab and C3 Theater, so hunt it down. It’s all free.
