We’re digging on this comedy series Behind the Screen, organized by local chuckles harvester Elizabeth Howard. It brings you back — or, rather, forward — through Texas Theatre, and plops you down in a makeshift comedy club set in a part of the building you rarely experience. The things are catching on and filling up, as it has become a destination venue for local comics and the audiences who love them. This month Howard reaches farther out, grabbing new talents from Denver for her lineup. Five piddling dollars gets you sets from Tobias Livingston, Nathan Lund, Sam Tallent and local comic Scott Crisp. It starts at 11 p.m. Saturday, so you’ll probably be a little drunk already. All the better. Visit thetexastheatre.com.
