It’s Dallas, so ice skating outside isn’t really a thing. Every year the Hilton Anatole rights this egregious wrong with Sparkle!, a mega-holiday-evergreen-lighted-smitten-mittens event. If you have a sugar or a booger or a sugarbooger, head out to the festivities from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday for Date Night-Skate Night (DN-SN). You can do all of that adorable stuff like put your hand in the other person’s back pocket, sip hot cocoa from the same cup and chisel the snot-cicles from each other’s upper lips, all set against a backdrop of one million twinkling Christmas lights. To quote Elton John, can you feel the love tonight? Because yes. Wine and hors d’oeuvres also will be served. Tickets are $9, parking is $5 and skate rental is $6 or you can bring your own. DN-SK is held every Friday in December at The Anatole, 2201 N. Stemmons Freeway.
