The best days in elementary school were the days we got to skip out of class. Once, my mom wrote me a fake doctor’s note so I could get out of school to see a museum exhibit. I can’t remember whether or not the exhibit was cool, but my mom was cool for, like, ever after that. So, if it’s been a while since youve used a fake doctor’s note to steal your kid from school, now is the time to do it. Goldilocks and the Three Bears, presented by Rover Dramawerks, is playing at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 Avenue H in Plano. Don’t have a kid to sneak out of school? Buy one. Kids are cheap—they’re the latest accessory (tiny dogs and backup-dancer husbands are so last year), and they’re cool to have around so you can go to events such as these without looking creepy. If you can’t get yourself a kid by Thursday, Goldilocks and the Three Bears is also playing at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $10 (Unless your kid is small enough to sit in your lap. Then, tickets are only $3). Call 972-849-0358 or visit roverdramawerks.com.
