In the age of graphic design software, an artist can enhance luminosity with a few clicks of a mouse. It’s not so easy when the mouse is a paintbrush. That’s one reason we’re impressed by the work of Texas painter Bob Stuth-Wade, who’s especially talented at illuminating landscapes through brushstrokes and use of color. See his Painting Texas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through December 23–with an artist talk at 11 a.m. December 11–at the Valley House Gallery and Sculpture Garden, 6616 Spring Valley Road. Admission is free. Call 972-239-2441 or visit valleyhouse.com.
Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 1. Continues through Dec. 23, 2010
