They say every writer has a screenplay tucked away in a bottom desk drawer. In the case of Brooke Wyeth, that publication is a memoir, set to revive a long-buried family secret. So, you know, this holiday at the Wyeth house is shaping up to be one helluva par-tay. That’s the basis of Other Desert Cities, the new hit play by Jon Robin Baitz. Dallas gets to see this Drama Desk, Drama League and Tony Award winner thanks to Theatre Three, which has an appropriately festive holiday run of the production through December 15. Join the Wyeth family in their moment of scandalous togetherness, and watch for flying nutcakes. Tickets cost $47 to $50 for Saturday’s 8 p.m. show. Get them at theatre3dallas.com.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 30. Continues through Dec. 15, 2013
