When I got the Walking With Dinosaurs DVD set a few years back, I was totally stoked, though I think some of my college girlfriends were a little disturbed. During one viewing a girl that shall remain nameless said “what the hell is that?!” about 50 times rather than simply listening to the delightful narration of Kenneth Branagh. Needless to say, she will not be accompanying me to Walking With Dinosaurs: The Live Experience, a $20 million dollar arena-sized extravaganza complete with 15 life-sized animatronic dinos including a stegosaurus, an ankylosaurus and a T-Rex (“You’ve got a T-Rex?!” “Yes, we have a T-Rex.”) Scha-wing. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the American Airlines Center. Tickets are $35 to $82.50. Visit ticketmaster.com.
