John Lithgow is one of America’s most celebrated actors. He’s got a shelf full of Tonys, an Emmy for a dark guest appearance on Dexter and he’s even put out some charming kids’ albums. But if you’re a child of the ’80s, you remember him for one role: the high-strung, quick-thinking and morally conflicted patriarch of a certain family harboring a sasquatch. Harry and the Hendersons is criminally under-appreciated in film-criticism circles, but Thursday you’ll enjoy that childhood favorite while also imbibing the pleasures of adulthood when the Alamo Drafthouse (100 S. Central Expressway, Richardson) presents a 35-mm screening of the movie at 7:30 p.m. Consider it a double feature, since Alamo’s pairing it with 903 Brewers’ new Sasquatch Double Chocolate Milk Stout, a drink that’s sure to put some much-needed hair on your chest.
