Undermain Theatre brings local theater hard, son. Its latest production, Abraham Zobell’s Home Movie: Final Reel…, is the story of Zobell’s last hoorah. He’s sick, dying and under constant care of his wife. One night he hatches a plan to escape her watchful eye and travel back through his past and “say goodbye to the love he lost along the way.” His first stop is Sister Fleeta’s Go-Go Bar, where he meets two kindred spirits who take him back to some of his most treasured moments, including his first job at a carnival. Plus there’s a guy in the cast who looks like a younger, meatier Sam Waterston so, you know, go for that if nothing else. Check it out for $10 at 8 p.m. at Dallas City Performance Hall, 2520 Flora St. The show runs from Saturday through February 2. Visit undermain.org.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Jan. 17. Continues through Feb. 2, 2014
