When was the last time you took a photo? Did you post it to Facebook or Twitter? Did you upload it onto your Flickr photostream? Or was it taken with an iPhone, and then you used an app to make it look like it was taken with a Holga? Maybe you used a vintage camera and had a specialty shop develop the medium-format film. Whatever the case, these are certainly some of the current trends in photography. With Flash: Photography from Dallas Galleries, the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas tackle the question: What does it mean to photography as art if so many people are doing it? The group showing creates a dialogue with viewers by offering images that have various discrepancies from what we’ve come to expect in modern photography. See if you can see the future in a Flash, Tuesdays through Saturdays through April 23. CADD is located at 1608-C Main St. Call 214-741-1075 or visit caddallas.net.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: March 12. Continues through April 23, 2009
