Anyone who has buried a parent knows there’s nothing like a sudden death in the family to uncork a little introspection, reconciliation and the occasional secret. Alexander’s House, a “play with music,” explores the fallout from the sudden death of a gay man, whose passing brings together his partner and friends with his estranged, straight son. The Turtle Creek Chorale Chamber Chorus presents the regional premiere of Alexander’s House for two nights only, Friday and Saturday, at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak St. Performances are at 8 p.m., and tickets are $30. Find them at turtlecreek.org.

Fri., Feb. 21, 8 p.m.; Sat., Feb. 22, 8 p.m., 2014
