He’ll do the dishes in your kitchen sink. He’ll put you to bed when you’ve had too much to drink. He could be the man who grows old with you. Seriously, he wants to grow old with you. Move over Adam Sandler. Although we loved you and your 1980s mullet in the 1998 film The Wedding Singer, there’s a new Robbie Hart in town in the theatrical production of The Wedding Singer: The Musical Comedy. It’s 1985 and Robbie is an up-and-coming New Jersey entertainer with rock-star dreams. But when his own fiancee dumps him at the altar, his larger-than-life aspirations and mooshy, gooshy career are ultimately crushed. Will he find love again and regain his star status? Will he need you? Will he feed you? Will he even let you hold the remote control? You’ll just have to wait and see. Performances take place at the The Clariden School, 100 Clariden Ranch Road in Southlake, through August 1. Tickets are $15. For more information, call 817-421-2825 or visit ohlookperform.com.
Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 2:30 & 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: July 16. Continues through Aug. 2, 2010
