The Dallas Museum of Art currently hosts one of the most significant exhibitions to travel through Dallas. The only American stop of Nur: Light in Art and Science from the Islamic World will be at the DMA through June. This Monday, Arts & Letters Live presents a well-timed entry in the literary speaker series with the topic “Arts of the Islamic World,” featuring Sabiha Al Khemir, the DMA’s senior advisor for Islamic art. Al Khemir will discuss her novel, The Blue Manuscript. Best-selling author Eliza Griswold will speak the same evening on poems she collected during her recent journey abroad to learn about Afghan women. The evening begins with a tour of Nur at 6:30 followed by the talk at 7:30 in the Horchow Auditorium, 1717 N. Harwood St. Tickets are $5 and available at dallasmuseumofart.org.
