Before the advent of the e-reader, the audio book and the printed word, even, we relied on the storytellers to pass on the greatest of tales. Today, that great oral tradition has largely been staunched by glowing screens and the only time people really engage in storytelling is after a couple of drinks. Oral Fixation aims to bring the art form back into the cultural foreground, and in its third season, it continues to shine a light on the way that sharing experiences and hearing others’ perspectives can change and inspire us. If you haven’t been to a performance yet, you’re missing out: Each production consists of a handful of ordinary people, each telling a tale that centers on the evening’s theme. Some are non-stop hilarious, some are poignant, some are jarring — but all are moving in their own way. The latest installment of the series is “Ducks in a Row,” in which seven brave souls will share personal and true stories about pulling things together. It’ll be presented at 8 p.m. Monday in the Wyly Theatre, 2400 Flora St. Tickets are $25 at attpac.org.
