The complete burrito, the full taco, the entire flauta, the total tostada, the undivided quesadilla. Oh, excuse me, didn’t see you there. I’m just trying to figure out why it was an enchilada that became the subject of an idiom that really just means “having it all.” Whatever the logic, you’re sure to be doing two things this Cinco de Mayo: eating enchiladas and listening to stories about trying to have it all. Oral Fixation’s latest installment of oral storytelling even includes a tale from Mico Rodriguez, the owner of Mi Cocina (which has a damn good enchilada, by the way). If you want to sit back and digest some personal stories about stuffing goodness into your life, grab a $25 ticket to the show that takes place at 8 p.m. Monday in the Wyly Theatre, 2400 Flora St. More information is at oralfixationshow.com.

Mon., May 5, 8 p.m., 2014
