Sometimes abstract art can be infuriatingly obtuse. Sometimes if you unfocus your vision you can see a pony, like in the Magic Eye books. Sometimes it’s intriguing and strikes you upon glance. And sometimes it really is upside down. Or you can just go with whatever they tell you at the show, but if you headed up to Denton you could find out which is which at the UNT graduate exhibition Drawing from the Ethereal (I prefer to pronounce every syllable–try it, its fun) in the UNT Art building, located one block west of Mulberry and Welch streets. The theme covers various ideas of limits through various media as the artists seek to define a line through color, form and space. Sound easy to you? If not, gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The show ends on June 26. Call 940-565-4316 or visit gallery.unt.edu.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: May 25. Continues through June 26, 2010
