This isn’t the first time Andrea Rosenberg has flied solo. She did it before in this fair city, two years ago, in fact. It was then that she seduced audiences with paper works that were emotive and sensual, floral and warm. And this time, she offers her fibrous artistry again, only instead of just taking on the flower, Rosenberg showcases two decades of work in various methods of print. The Printed Image: Etchings, lithographs, monoprints and spit bites covers her journeys, literally, from the drawing board. With acids and inks, solutions and transfers, Rosenberg has, for years, challenged herself to expand her artistic boundaries in ways more complex than jumping from pencil to pen. And now, Barry Whistler Gallery invites audiences to return and take in every last stroke of Rosenberg’s skill at conveying nuanced innuendo and capturing graceful line. The gallery is located at 2909-B Canton St. and hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment. The Printed Image hangs through May 20. Visit barrywhistlergallery.com or call 214-939-0242.

Wednesdays-Saturdays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: April 22. Continues through May 29, 2010
