Summer is the season of parties: Graduation parties, pool parties, 4th of July parties, and the no-event-necessary cookout parties. But if you’re looking for another reason to celebrate, may we suggest tap dance? As one of the only truly American dance forms (besides Zumba, obviously), the Dance Council of North Texas teams up with the Dallas Summer Musicals for the National Tap Dance Celebration 2014, on the steps of the Music Hall at Fair Park (909 1st Ave). This free dance party and performance takes place at 6:30 p.m. every night Tuesday – Saturday, weather permitting. For more information visit the dancecouncil.org.
Tue., June 10, 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays-Saturdays, 6:30 p.m. Starts: June 10. Continues through June 14, 2014
