Ever been so down in the dumps you think you’ll never laugh again? Don’t worry. When something is really funny you’ll laugh. Just ask Bill and Bob. They’ll know what you’re talking about. In Theatre Three’s production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, Bill Wilson becomes a drunk when his career as a stockbroker crumbles during the Great Depression, while doctor Bob Smith realizes he’s been walking into surgery for the past 30 years still tipsy from the night before. What happens when these two men meet and become friends? Why the origination of Alcoholics Anonymous, of course! Enjoy this heartfelt and humorous take on one of society’s most well-known addictions. Sometimes life gets so serious you just need to laugh. The production runs at Theatre Too, 2800 Routh St., Friday through April 18. Tickets are $25 to $30. Call 214-871-3300 or visit theatre3dallas.com for tickets and showtimes.
