Shakespeare’s plots are more complicated than the brain of an angsty teenage girl. Perhaps that’s fitting because many of Shakespeare’s plays are about angsty teenage girls. Much Ado About Nothing, for example, chronicles the thorny twists and turns of men trying to woo the affection of two young cousins, Beatrice and Hero. One girl is headstrong and tomboyish, the other is charming and beautiful. If it’s not predictable yet, don’t worry, this one’s a comedy, which means all’s well that ends well… wait, that’s a different play. Head to Shakespeare in the Park at Samuell Grand Amphitheatre (1500 Tenison Parkway) at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are pay what you can and picnics, especially those with large quantities of wine, are encouraged. Nothing improves Shakespeare like a heady merlot. More information at shakespearedallas.org.
