A new gallery may prove to those from north of the river that there is art in Oak Cliff outside the Bishop Arts District: Start Gallery Dallas, 1004 W. Page Ave. at Polk Street. Start gets its start with The First Exhibition featuring three Dallas artists: Martin R. Campos (mixed media), Arthur Stephens (night scenes) and Patricia Rodriguez (“ornate designs on canvas”). Opening reception is 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, and it hangs through June 11. Gallery hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment. Visit startgallerydallas.com.
