Are you the type who gets glitzed up to party into the wee hours on New Year’s Eve? Or do you prefer a more intimate, romantic celebration for the end of the decade? If you fall into the latter category, why not put on your cooking clothes and head to Central Market Fort Worth, 4651 West Freeway, for a little sizzle and sauce? CM’s Cooking School hosts Couples: New Year’s Eve For Two and for $120 per couple, you learn to prepare a meal before taking it home to enjoy with wine and candles (also provided). Dish up a pear and Roquefort salad, pork tenderloin, haricot vert, rosemary potatoes and chocolate pots. I mean, yeah, sure, champagne and confetti is awesome sometimes, but cooking up something with your honey sounds much more appealing on a cold night, no? Plus, you can even be home and fed in time to watch the ball drop. Class time is 4 to 6:30 p.m. Visit centralmarket.com to register.
