If you’re a baby boomer, or spent time watching reruns of 1970s Saturday Night Live episodes as a kid, you probably remember Robert Klein as the guy who sang the mock-blues “I Can’t Stop My Leg” while stomping his foot and playing the harmonica with the SNL band. But he has plenty of other unthreatening, vaguely funny songs–like the light-rock “I Don’t Like Getting Older”–and non-musical comedic observations. Perhaps you’ve caught his anthropomorphism routine about how bears aren’t friendly dopes, or his gag about telling someone which handshake style you prefer when meeting. He may not impress anyone raised on Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle or Patton Oswalt, but if you’re a fellow child of the ’50s, catch him at 8 p.m. Tuesday or 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road.
