Every hockey season, my best friend and I have a method of rooting for our respective teams. If I attend the game in person, I’m allowed to wear the Dallas Stars jersey (old school away circa 1999 Stanley Cup) for the entire game, but if I’m at home I don’t put the jersey on unless the Stars are behind once the third period starts. Also, I have decided to be eternally optimistic this season. So don’t try to get me to wonder about our stamina or leadership or 34-year-old goalies, OK? The Stars take on the Toronto Maple Leafs (that “f” will always bug me) 7 p.m. Wednesday at the AAC at Victory Park. Suit up and show up. Call 214-GO-STARS or visit DallasStars.com.
