For many, the tradition of sending holiday cards has devolved into a mindless chore. Whether you’re scrambling to take an attractive family photo, rushing to have cards printed, or signing season’s greetings until your ink stained hand is sore, the process can feel less than joyful. Luckily, the art mavens at Oil & Cotton are here to restore your holiday spirit to good health. On Saturday, the Oak Cliff studio will host a lab at the Nasher Sculpture Center (2001 Flora St.), where they’ll help you to inject new life and whimsy into the timeless practice of card sending. Unconventional holiday cards from Heatherwick Studio are on display in the galleries, and after taking your inspiration, you’ll have the opportunity to make some of your own with provided materials and guidance. The class begins at 10 a.m., and it won’t cost you a dime. To guarantee your spot, RSVP at the Nasher website, nashersculpturecenter.org.
