Guitar-Fest McKinney is a three-day event that gives guitar players a chance to bone up on their technique and learn new tricks. Offering private lessons and group workshops with Grammy-winning guitar professionals for three days and a concert on Saturday night, this event is for the real guitar enthusiast, eager to immerse one’s self in listening to, learning and enjoying some serious guitar playing. Instructors include expert players in classical, jazz and fingerstyle techniques. Guitar-Fest takes place Thursday through Sunday at John Wynn’s McKinney Guitar Studio, 103 E. Virginia St., and the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee St. Those who prefer to just watch are welcome to attend the concert on Saturday night.
