Artist Bruce Nauman’s neon art piece “One Hundred Live and Die” lists — yep — 100 ways to live or die. Among your options are “speak and die,” “feel and die,” “stand and die” and “think and die.” Luckily, you can speak, feel, stand and think in total safety at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary (3120 McKinney Ave.) this Saturday, when it hosts the opening of a video installation exhibit featuring Nauman’s work. Call and Response is part of Dallas Medianale, the Video Association of Dallas’ experimental film festival, which got off to an exciting start last week and continues through March 7. The show, co-curated by Charles Dee Mitchell and Danielle Avram-Morgan, will occupy both galleries at the MAC and showcase the video art of renowned artists like Nauman, Joe Sola, Francis Alys, Gary Hill and Owen Kydd. Stop by for the opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Like the rest of Medianale’s programming, this event is free. Visit videofest.org for more info
