Greg Rucka is incredibly busy, people. Now, normally, writers will claim they are busy–all the research, the drafts, the edits–when it’s really a case of perfected procrastination–daytime TV, coffee runs, walk the dog, laundry (lots of small loads), a repair project that will end in calling someone, and then when it’s really too close to the deadline, they shift into high gear. This general practice is probably not the case with Greg Rucka. Rucka is the author of the Atticus Kodiak thriller series–including his latest, Walking Dead–as well as the Queen & Country series. Top that off with his comic-related work (on Batwoman among other Detective Comics characters) and Rucka is a busy and in-demand sort of guy. He’s on tour now, in fact, scribbling away that infamous “Gregory” (those three extra letters are important thanks to a graphics balancing act years ago as fans know and others can learn on his site, gregrucka.com) on copies of Walking Dead at Legacy Books, 7300 Dallas Parkway, 7:30 p.m. Friday and on Batwoman’s lead Detective Comics debut at Zeus, 4411 Lemmon Ave., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Call Legacy Books at 972-398-9888 and Zeus at 214-219-8697.
