After paving their way through the ’60s and ’70s, transitioning through drummers, guitarists and other members and producing No. 1 hits, Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago are out to prove that 40 years on, they can still rock–these aren’t just your parents’ favorite jams. Check out both, playing separately and together, 8 p.m. Saturday at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie. Earth, Wind & Fire, an R&B band, and Chicago, a jazz/fusion band, have always complimented each other stylistically, but this time they’re doing it to take a stance against hunger, partnering with WHY Hunger’s Artists Against Hunger & Poverty initiative for their current tour. Bring three non-perishable food items to the show or make a donation to your local food bank and you’ll receive downloads of three unreleased, brand-new tracks from both bands. Tickets to Saturday’s show are $69.50 to $125. For more information, visit ewfandchicago.com.
