I admit it–clowns freak me out, and I know I’m not alone. I wouldn’t say what I have is a full-on phobia, and yes, it is almost definitely related to that scene in Poltergeist, but it still makes me jump a bit when a clown is in the same room as me. Regardless, most children love clowns, and they take the pressure off many a parent to get their kids laughing and keep them entertained. Slappy Time Circus is doing a special performance of The Slappy & Monday Comedy Hour featuring guests from Kidprov, Funnyatrics, the Lone Star Circus and, of course, renowned professional circus clowns Slappy and Monday at 7 p.m. Friday at Slappy’s Puppet Playhouse, located in the second level of the Galleria.
