After a long week of work, you’re tired, cranky and you just want to sit back, relax and suck down a delicious concoction of lemon-lime syrup and booze. For margarita lovers, there’s one day dedicated to the tequila-infused favorite of Texans. Sip, slurp and then vote for your favorite ‘rita recipe at this year’s Hotter Than Hell Margarita Meltdown. Restaurant participants including Primos, Iron Cactus and Sfuzzi are competing for the chance to win up to $500 by mixing up the best margaritas as judged by the crowd. Music and food will also be provided. May the best margarita win! The Meltdown takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Bishop Arts District, 408 N. Bishop Ave. Tickets are $20.
