Dads don’t cook–they grill. It’s more manly to stick a beer can up a chicken’s ass than it is to sous-vide, so when it comes to paternal cuisine, we haven’t expected a lot of variety or experimentation from the old man, but the cooking school at Central Market (5750 E. Lovers Lane) is about to change all of that. Featuring grilled crab cakes with mango salsa, herb-crusted grilled beef tenderloin with shallot marmalade and more, the Father’s Day Grilling course Friday night at 6:30 p.m. may just get Dad out of dish duty for a while. The class is $65 or $120 per adult child/parent team. Call 214-361-5754 or visit centralmarket.com.
