OK, let’s take a poll here. Raise your hand if you’ve already broken (or haven’t yet started) some body image-related New Year’s resolution. It’s cool, you don’t have to tell me what it was…or won’t ever be, for that matter. I have my own I’m not sharing…except to say it involves a helmet, because everything’s more fun with a helmet. But I digress. While we’re lamenting our own bodies, why not check out On the Body: Selected Work From the Rachofsky Collection over in the UNT Art Gallery, Tuesdays through Saturdays? The exhibition showcases works in a range of media that discuss the ol’ bod. The focus is “works that have a decidedly psychological and personal dimension” but address social and scientific aspects of the body as well. On the Body opens Thursday and runs through February 21. Call 940-565-4005 or visit gallery.unt.edu.

Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Jan. 15. Continues through Feb. 21, 2009
