$10,000

I have never seen a person actually fly of their own volition, but the closest I’ve come to it is Pilobolus: skating barefoot, creating momentum seemingly from nowhere, gliding through solid bodies to form magical human shadow puppets (remember the 2007 Oscars?). It appears that Pilobolus can do all of these things. And don’t be surprised if you audibly gasp from a plush seat in Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth, this Monday as you watch the modern dance troupe blow your mind with movement that is virtually impossible one moment, profound the next and comical even still. Even old dance fogies will be awestruck by Pilobolus. The performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $75. Call 1-877-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.

Mon., Jan. 26, 8 p.m., 2009
