If you’re looking for a place to pinch butts under the cloak of darkness, go to Plush. But if you’re looking for a place to practically steal away with radical artwork that benefits a great cause, then go to Art Conspiracy. Celebrating its seventh year of being awesome, Art Con is back. This year all proceeds benefit Musical Angels, a Dallas nonprofit that offers piano lessons to hospitalized children. That’s, like, the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard and one time a hummingbird sang me a lullaby, so that’s pretty freaking sweet. If you’re not familiar with the concept, Art Con is completely run by volunteers. More than 150 artists descend upon Art Con and create one-of-a-kind works of art that are then auctioned off with a starting bid of $20 — all between sets of live music by Datahowler, The Hope Trust and J. Charles and the Trainrobbers. It all happens at 511 W. Commerce St. on November 12 from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. Info explosion available at artconspiracy.org.
