The Manhattan Transfer hasn’t released an album since 2006’s An Acapella Christmas and The Symphony Sessions, but who are we kidding? That doesn’t matter one jazzily delivered lick. The Transfer is known for their four-part, middle-aged, co-ed harmonies and popped-up vocal “stylings” of jazz standards…and for a few songs that, in particular, are widely popular within the tap/jazz recital circuit. So, as long as they turn out “Java Jive,” “Boy From New York City” and “Operator” along with their holiday fare, audiences (in kiddie tights and granny girdles alike) will get what they need. Plus, we bet they really put some shine on “Jingle Bells.” See and hear the festive falsetto 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Richardson’s Eisemann Center. Tickets are $30 to $62.
