While our favorite thing on ice is whiskey, we’re guessing most kids (hopefully) have a different opinion. Of course, we’re talking about Disney On Ice, which skates its way to Allen (the suburb squeezed between Plano and McKinney) in the form of Mickey & Minnie’s Magical Journey just in time for Thanksgiving. Take the young ones up north for a day or night of skating and songs from folks dressed up in costumes of their favorite Disney characters, including those from classics like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Peter Pan. And don’t forget that flask of Maker’s Mark. We promise not to tell. There are several showings surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday, and tickets range from $30 to $75. Call the Allen Event Center (on Stacy Road just east of Highway 75) at 972-678-4646 or visit disneyonice.com for more information.
